1. Informational service

Records are presented for research, documentation and public-interest access. Metadata can be incomplete, redacted, approximate, translated or interpreted for mapping. Always consult the linked original source before relying on a record for publication, legal, safety, aviation or other consequential decisions.

2. No government affiliation or endorsement

UAPLocations is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the governments, agencies, archives or military organisations whose records are indexed. Agency names identify provenance only. Government seals, insignia and protected marks are not site branding. The appearance of U.S. Department of War visual information does not imply or constitute DoW endorsement.

3. Source rights

UAPLocations does not claim ownership of third-party official-source records. Rights differ by source and sometimes by individual asset. A file being publicly accessible does not automatically grant unrestricted republication rights. The Sources & Licences page describes the applicable framework and links to the original terms. Users are responsible for checking rights before reusing source material outside this service.

4. Community submissions

Community submissions are governed additionally by the Reporting Terms. Submission does not guarantee publication. UAPLocations may reject, remove, reclassify or correct community material for moderation, legal, privacy, security or quality reasons.

5. Accuracy and availability

The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis without a guarantee that every record, coordinate, external link, stream, archive file, translation or automated match is complete, current or error-free. External archives may change or become unavailable.

6. Responsible use

Do not use the service to harass individuals, trespass, interfere with aviation or emergency activity, identify private persons from submitted material, overload the service, bypass access controls, automate abusive requests or misrepresent UAPLocations as an official authority.

7. Voluntary support

The DONATE function is voluntary support for operating and developing the independent archive. A contribution does not purchase goods, access, editorial influence, moderation priority, investigation services or any special status. Payments are completed through Stripe under Stripe's own terms. UAPLocations does not represent that a contribution is tax-deductible; tax treatment depends on the contributor's jurisdiction and circumstances.

8. External services and links

The service links to and may display material delivered by third parties such as government archives, map providers and payment processors. Their availability, terms and privacy practices are outside UAPLocations' control.

9. Limitation and mandatory rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, UAPLocations is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on incomplete source records, approximate map placement, unavailable external services, third-party content or interrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or mandatory user rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Changes and removal requests

These terms and the service may be updated as features and sources change. If you believe content infringes rights, exposes personal data or is materially misattributed, provide the record URL, the issue and evidence supporting the request. Contact: contact@uaplocations.com.
