Privacy information
Browsing the public map does not require an account. Additional data is processed only when needed to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, use location/camera features or process a voluntary submission.
Normal website access
The hosting environment can process standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps and security logs. The application can use limited technical data to rate-limit abuse and diagnose errors.
Map and external media
Map tiles and some official-source media can involve requests to external providers. Opening an original-source link sends you to that provider, whose privacy rules then apply. UAPLocations does not control the logs or cookies of third-party services.
Live Sky Scanner and uploads
Camera, orientation and precise location permissions are requested by the browser only for features that need them. A community submission can include media, capture time, coordinates and accuracy, orientation data, camera/EXIF information, selected target position and technical verification metadata. See the Reporting Terms for the submission-specific rules.
Public location protection
Exact submission coordinates used for moderation are not intended to be published at full device precision. Approved community records use reduced map precision. Users should not upload unnecessary faces, number plates, private documents or other identifying information.
Payments
DONATE opens a Stripe-hosted payment page. Card details are entered with Stripe rather than into UAPLocations. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms; UAPLocations can receive transaction information made available to the payment recipient by Stripe.
Advertising and behavioural profiling
The current service is not designed around advertising or behavioural ad profiling. This does not prevent necessary hosting/security logs or technical requests to the external services described above.
