Normal website access and security

The hosting environment can process standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamps. The application may use limited technical information to secure the service, rate-limit abuse, diagnose errors and maintain availability. Hosting/server logs are separate from the consent log described below.

Essential privacy-choice storage

UAPLocations stores your privacy choice in your browser so the site can remember whether optional analytics is allowed. This storage is used only to remember the choice and its version/expiry and is treated as necessary for the privacy-control feature. The current preference is requested again after approximately 180 days or when the consent version changes. The browser-storage keys used by this privacy control are uap_privacy_choice_v2 and uap_privacy_consent_id; the latter contains a random pseudonymous identifier used to link consent, change and withdrawal events in the application consent log.

Optional Google Analytics 4

With your explicit consent, UAPLocations loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-H3TSK0RFXW to understand page usage and interaction in aggregate and improve the service. Before consent, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and UAPLocations does not make an analytics request to Google. If consent is refused, analytics remains off. UAPLocations does not use Google Analytics for personalised advertising.

When analytics is enabled, Google may process information such as page URLs, interaction events, device/browser information and network information needed to provide Analytics. Google acts under its own privacy and data-processing terms. See Google Privacy Policy ↗.

Google Consent Mode v2

The site uses a privacy-first basic Consent Mode v2 implementation. The default states for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are denied. Only analytics_storage can become granted when you choose analytics. Advertising-related signals remain denied because UAPLocations does not use personalised advertising or Google Ads on this site.

Analytics storage and international processing

When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set first-party identifiers such as _ga and a measurement-specific _ga_* cookie. UAPLocations configures the analytics cookie lifetime not to exceed the current privacy-choice period. Google can process Analytics data on infrastructure located in multiple countries; any provider-side international transfer safeguards and contractual terms are governed by the applicable Google terms and account configuration.

Legal basis where the GDPR applies

Optional Google Analytics processing is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can refuse without losing access to the site and you can withdraw consent later. Security, abuse-prevention and service-integrity processing may be carried out where necessary for the operator's legitimate interests in protecting and operating the service, subject to applicable law and balancing requirements.

Consent log and proof of choice

When you accept, reject, change or withdraw an analytics choice, the application records a minimal consent event containing a random consent identifier, the time, consent version, page path, action and the granted/denied consent states. The application-level consent log intentionally does not store your IP address or user-agent string. The random identifier is pseudonymous rather than an identity. Consent logs are automatically removed after up to 400 days.

Changing or withdrawing consent

You can reopen the privacy controls at any time using the PRIVACY control shown on the site. Rejecting analytics after previously accepting it updates Consent Mode, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site and reloads the page without loading Google Analytics. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Map and external media

Map tiles and some official-source media can involve requests to external providers that are necessary to display requested content. Opening an original-source link sends you to that provider, whose privacy rules then apply. UAPLocations does not control third-party logs, cookies or services.

Live Sky Scanner and uploads

Camera, orientation and precise location permissions are requested by the browser only for features that need them. A community submission can include media, capture time, coordinates and accuracy, orientation data, camera/EXIF information, selected target position and technical verification metadata. Public location protection

Exact submission coordinates used for moderation are not intended to be published at full device precision. Approved community records use reduced map precision. Users should not upload unnecessary faces, number plates, private documents or other identifying information.

Support payments

SUPPORT opens an embedded Stripe Checkout form. Payment-card and supported wallet details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by UAPLocations. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy and service terms. UAPLocations may receive transaction information made available to the payment recipient by Stripe, such as payment status, amount, currency, transaction/session identifiers and customer details that the payer provides to Stripe or that are needed to process the payment.

A support payment is optional and is not required to browse the public service. The payment is not presented as a charitable donation and is not earmarked for a specific expense or project.

Your requests

You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable, object to processing based on legitimate interests where applicable, or withdraw consent for optional analytics at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority; in Poland this may be the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) where it is the competent authority. A request should identify the relevant URL, submission or issue and enough information to verify the request. Contact: contact@uaplocations.com.

This privacy notice describes the application configuration delivered by UAPLocations. The operator remains responsible for ensuring that hosting, Google Analytics property settings, Stripe configuration and any other connected services are configured consistently with applicable law.
