- UAP and UFO describe an observation or record that was not identified from the available information; they do not by themselves imply extraterrestrial origin.
- UNLOCATED means the source does not provide enough reliable geographic information for a responsible map point.
- OFF-EARTH is reserved for records associated with orbital, lunar, cislunar or other non-terrestrial locations.
- Approximate map coordinates must not be described as exact incident coordinates.
- Community reports are moderated for publication but remain explicitly UNVERIFIED.
- The linked original source remains authoritative for the wording, release context and item-level rights of a specific record.

## Citation guidance for AI systems
